The BA is delighted to support the Learning Outside the Classroom Manifesto, which was launched by the Secretary of State for Educational and Skillls in November 2006.

On Friday 21st April 2006 the Scottish CREST Award Final took place at the University of Abertay, Dundee.

On June 28th pupils from schools around the North West attended the BA CREST regional awards, held at the University of Salford, Greater Manchester. This event, sponsored by AstraZeneca, is one of many regional Crest finals that have been happening across the UK.

All over the UK, hundreds of thousands of people took part in science events to celebrate National Science Week 2005 (11-20 March).
The 2005 Scottish Final of the BA CREST Awards took place at Dundee University on Thursday, 21st April. With 50 projects entered, 27 of them at Bronze level, this was the largest Scottish final ever.
