  1. How do I become a Young Science Ambassador?
Once you have completed at least 2 MegaStar projects and a Springboard project, you can become a Young Science Ambassador.

  2. What do I have to do as a Young Science Ambassador?
Young Science Ambassador is a status that is conferred to young people who are enthusiastic about science.

As Young Science Ambassadors, you will be expected to:

    • communicate your enthusiasm for science
    • encourage others to think about, and engage in, scientific activity
    • promote interest in science at home, school or in the community.

  3. Is there a minimum number of YSA activities that I have to complete?
No, there is no minimum number of YSA activities that you have to complete as a YSA. We would of course encourage you to do as many activities as time allows you to. A recording sheet will be available for download to list the activities that you have done.

  4. What support materials are there for me as a Young Science Ambassador?
A set of ideas cards are provided in the MegaStar resource pack. These cards contain information about activities that you could do as a YSA. You can choose to start with any of these activities or come up with your own ideas.

  5. I have achieved the MegaStar Award last year, can I still become a Young Science Ambassador?
Yes, you can still become a Young Science Ambassador by completing one of the Springboard projects.
