Ideas and case studies
If you want to make this into a really big experiment, try using very large cans of dog food or catering cans of beans etc.
Or you could try using cans of coconut milk. It can start off as a solid, but turns into a liquid the more you shake or roll the can. We recommend using branded coconut milk, because not all coconut milk works equally well.
We really like filling bottles of water and then freezing them, to see what happens when they thaw. Remember not to fill the bottles to the top though, and to leave the lids off as they freeze (put the lids back on later).
