Animal adventure
In Animal adventure, Cosmic and Gem go on a safari to find minibeasts.
Extra support
Minibeasts are small animals. When carrying out this activity, make sure that the children treat the minibeasts carefully, and return them to their natural habitats.
Instead of creating our own minibeast resources, we've found some excellent ones on the internet. Do let us know if you find any more at
creststar@the-ba.net
Working with wildlife
- good identification charts for woodland and aquatic minibeasts
Factsheet on minibeasts
- great factsheet all about minibeasts
Minibeast clipart
- useful for session starters and sorting activities
English nature
- we like their leaflets about nature in the garden
Nature detectives
- great website from the Woodland Trust with loads of resources and worksheets. More about trees and plants than minibeasts, but the resources are excellent.
Ideas and case studies
