David Beckham has been photographed wearing some fairly outlandish clobber in the past. The famous skirt-wearing incident is arguably the most talked about – but it’s closely followed by the GQ photo-shoot which saw Goldenballs bare-chested, covered in baby oil, and sporting some rather fetching nail varnish.

Develop a procedure for testing the scratch resistance of nail varnish. You could use the procedure to test different brands. You could see if nail varnish is resistant to various ‘everyday’ abrasives such as cleaning products
Prepare your own nail varnish and nail varnish remover. Find out if it would be possible to ‘re-use’ nail varnish
Find out what artificial nails are made from, and conduct tests to see if they have the same properties (for example, hardness) as real nails. Find out how they are stuck on, and how strong the bond is.
