The sun, wind and rain can all have visible effects on the appearance of your hair. Unfortunately, we can’t control the weather. But if we understand how different conditions affect hair it becomes much easier to know how to treat it. So what would happen to your hair if you lived in a particularly humid climate? Or a tropical island where you spent all your time in the sun?

Have you ever wondered what different weather conditions do to your hair?

You might like to …

Try to reproduce different weather conditions in the laboratory and carry out tests to see how the conditions affect hair. You could try to mimic a cold winter’s day, a hot, humid summer’s day or an April shower
Test different types of hair in the weather conditions, to see if certain types of hair are affected more by certain types of weather (for example, find out if humidity affects straight or curly hair more).
