T-shirts are the staple fashion-diet for many people. They’re not only a simple, practical piece of clothing, they’re also a blank canvas to display a whole host of designs; be it your favourite band, footy team or just a famous brand (though that can work against you – a juror wearing a French Connection T-shirt was recently asked to step down when the judge noticed his T-shirt displayed a “mis-spelt Anglo-Saxon word”!)

A lot of people think cheap T-shirts don’t hold their shape when washed. But is this true?

You might like to …

Wash a number of cheap T-shirts and check to see if they keep their shape better than more expensive ones
Test to see if any pictures or logos or emblems wear away or fade when washed
Compare how much the colour fades on different T-shirts.
