• Self-selected by students in consultation with teacher and mentor
• Can be based on CREST project ideas resource website or specific schemes

Project Approval:

• Must be by local coordinator following submission of outline proposal by student

Registration:

• Via local coordinator after discussion with mentor
• The registration fee is £15 per student

Recording:

• Gold Science (PDF 1418 KB) / Gold Technology (PDF 196 KB) Profile form and report/portfolio completed

Mentor:

• From higher education or industry; may be chosen by student but must be approved by local coordinator

Reviewing:

• Minimum five reviews by teacher in conjunction with mentor
• Final evaluation by second industrial or educational evaluator selected by local coordinator and in conjuction with mentor
