The BA is proud to have a strong network of Institutional Members made up of universities and colleges, research councils, professional societies, science centres, charities and other not for profit organisations.

Institutional membership of the BA has many benefits. It provides institutions with a way to get involved in the BA's many science in society events, programmes and activities. For an annual fee of £250+VAT Institutional Members are entitled to:

Nominate 5 employees to receive quarterly editions of our newsletter, Science & Public Affairs Magazine, and to select from all BA e-communications including Science News Digest – a weekly round-up featuring highlights from the science news as collated by the BA's Press Officer. Nominated employees will also have full BA voting rights
A third off for all nominated members to attend the annual BA Festival of Science.
Receive reduced advertising rates in Science & Public Affairs and in BA supporter mailings.
A 35% reduction (£74 instead of £114) for all nominated members on a year’s subscription to New Scientist (51 issues per year).
Invitations to networking events with other institutional and corporate members of the BA. These events provide BA member organisations with a chance to network, discuss relevant science related topics and meet key decision makers.
Listing on the BA website including a link to your organisation's website, in the BA Festival of Science Programme and in the BA’s Annual Review.
Opportunity to support the BA’s Access Science Scheme - supporting outreach to young people and schools facing challenging circumstances across the UK.
The opportunity for your organisation to include relevant information in the School's e-newsletter which goes out once a term to all schools (currently, over 1000) participating in the BA Crest scheme.
