Sarah Collins 2006 Overall Winner
In 2006 Sarah Collins from the University of Cambridge was voted the overall winner of the perspectives competition, with her poster 'What can we learn from volcanic eruptions?'.

Since then, Sarah has been busy with her PhD, which has included several trips to exotic locations.  Most recently, she has been to Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean, east of Madagascar, where she collected samples from the volcano that forms the island.

Back in Britain, Sarah has been putting her communication skills into action, speaking about volcanology in several schools.  In 2007 she was elected as a BA committee member along with fellow 2006 perspectives finalist Helen Jopling.
