Rafiq Hasan - Biography
Dr Hasan is currently the Head of Medical Affairs, General Medicines for Novartis Pharmaceuticals in the UK. Dr Hasan qualified in Medicine from St Thomas' Hospital Medical School in London in 1992. He then spent the next few years working in a variety of roles in the NHS before entering the pharmaceutical industry in 1996. Over the last 9 years he has gained extensive experience in all aspects of drug development and promotion with a particular emphasis on the cardiovascular therapy area. He now has responsibility across the breadth of the General Medicines portfolio for Novartis.
