Engaging Marginalised Groups
How can we design events that engage different sectors of UK society? What are the pitfalls in working with the so-called 'hard to reach'? Join us at the next Working Lunch as part of the BA Festival of Science and hear about the community x-change project, which, this summer, discussed issues involving science in Liverpool. Share your experiences with those of the BA project team.
Speakers:
Nigel Eady, The BA
Nigel will explain how he benefited from working with a local community engagement officer to help recruit participants for this year's community x-change workshops.
Claudine Anderson, Wales Gene Park
Claudine will share her learning from running an event for the deaf community.
