The conference will feature three strands, focusing on:

  • engaging to inspire and educate
  • engaging to involve
  • engaging through the media and PR
Sessions will explore a range of themes.  Topics will include:

  • Science festivals
  • Science fairs and competitions
  • Science communication and social science
  • Gauging public attitudes to science
  • Beacons for public engagement
  • Science centres in the 21st century
  • Feeding science into policy
