The STEM Directories - a new resource
The BA is part of a consortium with the Royal Institution and UWE, Bristol to produce three STEM Directories for the Department for Children, Schools and Families covering all national and regional enhancement and enrichment activity in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).
The STEM Directories project provides a unique opportunity for the science, technology, engineering and maths communities to come together to meet a common objective of creating the definitive directory source of STEM enhancement and enrichment schemes. Aimed at teachers and lecturers, for use with students of all ages in schools and colleges across the UK, the printed directories will be launched in September 2008 and will be followed by an online version in 2009.
The project is at the stage of inviting organisations and providers to submit descriptions of their schemes and activities via the online form on the STEM Directories website. Submitted information will then be reviewed and schemes that meet the stipulated criteria will be included in the first edition of the printed directory in September 2008.
If you are a provider of STEM enhancement and enrichment activities nationally or regionally then visit the
STEM Directories website
and complete the online questionnaire to promote your scheme or activities.
The closing date for entries is Monday 16 June 2008.
