Eddystone (Plymouth)
Eddystone (Plymouth) Branch
Our Branch has concentrated entirely on one particular type of BA activity: a sciBAr discussion event that takes place monthly in the Café les Jardins de Bagatelle in Plymouth. Over the last two years we have steadily built up a very regular attendance. We regularly attract more than 40 people, mostly not science professionals, to engage in discussion on a diverse range of science topics, in a relaxed and informal venue. Recent packed-out meetings have included Stephan Harding from the Schumacher College on Gaia and Deep Ecology, and Dr John Spicer from the University of Plymouth, on evolution and religion.
