Our Branch was formed 4 years ago, and meets in and around Exeter. We have focussed on Branch events with a local character, including the science of stained glass windows in Exeter Cathedral and the bird life of the Exe estuary. We have put on meetings in non-university venues, including a talk on mapping the ocean bed at Topsham Museum. We have organized excursions, including to the fascinating china clay works at St. Austell. We’ve explored partnerships with related bodies and have had a particularly good relationship with the Institute of Biology locally. We’re keen to encourage individuals to get in touch and support the work of our Committee as we plan for the future!
