In November 2003 the Edinburgh and South-East Scotland Branch was formed and officially launched by Dame Julia Higgins, President of the BA. Supported by a diverse, dynamic and enthusiastic team we aim to provide a broad programme of science based activities throughout the year. Typical events include "Stargazing" at Soutra Isle, "Beer Bugs and Brewing" (including tasting!) at Riccarton, GATTACA - film and discussion, "Celebrating Scottish Photographic Development" at the Camera Obscura in Edinburgh, a visit to the Falkirk Wheel, and "The Food On Our Table" fun day in Livingston.
