The press room at the BA Festival of Science 2007
You are eligible to apply for the scheme if you:
  • are a practising scientist, social scientist, clinician or engineer and have a minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience in your field
  • are a UK citizen (non-UK nationals in full time employment in the UK with a minimum of two years remaining on their contract are also able to apply) 
  • work at any level in an academic or research institution, industry, civil service or any other similar organisation
  • have your employers/funders consent to be released on full pay for the period of the Fellowships (annual leave may be used for part of the placement)
Those employed part time are eligible for the scheme, however should an application be successful placements will be offered on a full time basis.

Applications will be considered from those currently self employed/freelance, however the BA take no responsibility for salary payment.

Those currently employed in full time PR positions or those who have previously undertaken a BA Media Fellowship placement will not be considered.
