Climate change: its impact on UK business and the economy
Thursday 18 March 2004, Dana Centre, South Kensington, London.
Research linking weather data to retail and business planning is currently helping predict not just what we buy but where and when we shop. What effect will a shift in climate have on the way companies use insurance to hedge against weather problems? How will it alter the way we spend our money? How can the business community incorporate climate change risks into their business planning, products and services? Could a temperature rise lead to a stock market fall?
