Dr Nick Wareham is a Clinical Epidemiologist. He currently a Wellcome Trust Senior Fellow in Clinical Science at Cambridge University and is Director Elect of the new MRC Epidemiology Unit in Cambridge. The aim of the Unit is to study the aetiology and pathogenesis of diabetes and related metabolic disorders and to use that understanding to develop interventions aimed at primary prevention and early detection.
