Volunteering
The BA has always involved volunteers.
It was founded in 1831 by a group of amateur scientists that voluntarily organised the original BA meeting - now the annual BA Festival of Science.
Today, the BA offers a range of volunteering opportunities within our programmes.
Whether you wish to gain experience in science communication, contribute academic expertise to BA events, or work with other like-minded volunteers to engage your local community, there will be a role to suit you in at least one of the following areas:
